"Children with conduct problems such as aggression, theft, and cruelty have atypical neural responses to images of other people's pain, researchers reported.
In a cohort study using functional MRI (fMRI), teenagers with conduct problems, compared with controls, had reduced responses in three brain regions associated with empathy when they witnessed pain, according to Essi Viding, PhD, of University College London, and colleagues."
